What the Auxiliary does for the Polinsky Children's Center:

The mission of the Polinsky Children's Center Auxiliary is to support a safe, nurturing, loving environment that addresses the educational, emotional, physical and social needs of all children who receive or have received services through the Polinsky Children's Center. Children will enter society empowered with life skills to grow and thrive as productive members of their community. 
                              (Polinsky Children's Center Auxiliary is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, Federal Tax ID # 27-3534694.)
The Polinsky Children’s Center Auxiliary receives $5,000 from Gold Diggers San Diego, as their major beneficiary for 2014.

On Saturday, December 6th, the Auxiliary and the Mission Bay Soroptimists met with approximately 23 girls ages 7 - 16 at the Polinsky Children's Center and made fleece hats. 

Each girl made a hat for herself and then an additional hat or two for children in Tecate. The hats will be distributed during the annual Christmas Train project on January 4th in Tecate. The girls had so much fun creating their own "no-sew" hat and scarf and they were very excited to be able to make a hat for a girl who may not have heat to keep warm in the cold weather. The girls had a great time and it was special watching them "pay it forward". All enjoyed a make-your-ice-cream sundae party to celebrate the Soroptimists completing 1500 hats for this year's project.  

Thank you Mission Bay Soroptimists for supporting the young women at the Polinsky Children's Center and providing wonderful activities and role models for our girls.
